@israhell78 early 2000's.. It picks up after H20. A good explanation I heard was that it could have become the storyline for Halloween: Resurrection, had they not use the plot that they used...

Wow this could've been the 8th movie, but did they use it? No instead they decided to ruin the franchise with a gay storyline which is why we have remakes now.
