The audience gives Bob a standing ovation, something Bob was not expecting.

  • If this took place right after Dorothy Jo died, you would think he would have thanked the viewers for their cards and letters of sympathy. So maybe it's not that episode.

  • His wife died 14 months before this episode taped

  • Did this episode ever air oin GSN?

  • Yes, back in early 1999

  • bob barker kicks ass

  • Wow...the theme's on for a full minute at the top of the show. That's extremely rare.

I'm amazed it took him 10 years to get his first standing O, especially since he was number one from day one.

  • Everybody loves Bob........

  • @raceday2011 YES THERE IS at 0:10

  • Is that a little kid sitting there at 0:09?

  • @devswartz Personally I'm hoping that Alex Trebek will go on until at least 2019 which would mark his 50th year in television, and I hope they host a big event episode at Carnegie Hall or something like that, and the audience gives HIM a standing ovation when he comes out.

  • @springmist775 Happy Gilmore would be the 1st to testify.

  • Unfortunately he convinced our zoo to get rid of the pandas.

  • that was longest entrance ever :D

  • @danbarker39 I think it was Gene Wood,but I am not sure

  • Anyone catch Bob's little wave with his hand as he walked out, that's a rare sight there, he really hardly did anything like that that I can recall, was just a straight march to the front part of the stage generally speaking.

  • @DorvellTStewart His voice was like gold, glad to have had him in our lives and living rooms.
