Hmm in Nevada they are the only public employees that have not made concessions with the state. In fact the want raises while the state spirals into bankruptcy. No here in Nevada firefighters make me want to vomit. They are truly pathetic human beings.

It is one of the few professions that requires a certain type of human personality to truly be good at it, do you know what that is? It's SELFLESSNESS, and a burning passion to help others... Maybe you have met a firefighter who perhaps hurt you in some way, if so, then I apologize on their behalf... firefighters are only human too. But what I do know for sure: they will always be there to help.

They are selfless...are you fucking kidding me? Then why is that here in Nevada the firefighters are the highest paid employees. All other state, county, and city workers have taken cuts, but firefighters refuse. In fact they want a raise despite county comissioner saying that it will bankrupt our state. So yeah real selfless...and they don't even fuckin fight fires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who the hell cares if they make the most in the state, do you want to stand in 100 degree heat with fifty pounds of turnout gear. Who cares if they don't fight fires, Nevada has car crashes and EMS calls. Firefighters do more than just fires, idiot.

I hear that, many of them are volunteers, pay is squat, maybe a little cash at the end of the year to pay for 1/3 of the gas to get to station.
