To burn the linux software would you need a dvd disk or a regular cd disk?

ive ben wanting to instal linux on the ps3 but never get this anwear. o and des it run slower if i only have a 80 gb hardrive?

depends on what distro you pick. For yellow dog linux you need a DVD-R. That is the distro I am using in the video. Other distros can fit onto a cd-r e.g. ubuntu. As for speed, the hard drive size is inconsequential to that aspect.
