they greeted the crowd en francais when they played in vancouver during the olympics before thet were subsequently banned for being qadaffi supporters or something i was the guy who yelled matadjem yinmixan from the back row, surrey, represent.
They do sing primarily in Amazighe but "Bismillah" is arabic. "Le Chant Des Fauves" and "Soixant Trois". In all these songs, Amazigh is also used and some, I do believe it is used exclusively. However, they use all three languages not only in their music but also in their conversation. Touareg Amazigh and Kabyle Amazigh are different enough that mutual knowledge of Arabic and French is needed for members of each group to converse.
I hung out with these guys wim1984 and a friend who is Kabyle Berber. I speak some French and some Arabic, he speaks the Kabyle (coastal / northern) dialect of Tamazigh ) and they speak the sub saharan or southern dialect. They all spoke Arabic and French as well. Since his dialect and theirs is about 75% the same, they mixed up Arabic, Tamazigh, French pretty much as they felt like during conversation.

Correction: "Le Chant des Fauves" and "Soixant Trois" are French. I forgot to include that.
