  • Is Smitty related to Larry Gatlin?

  • Don't think so.

  • I will put the talent of Herman Harper And London Parris against any bass singing today. They set a high standard.

  • I think it would be hard to find someone as good as Smitty Gatlin....loved Little Willy too!

  • does anybody know what happened to Little Willie Wynn? he was my idol when I was a kid in the 60's and I met him a couple different times. We used to got to the allnight singings at the old Atlanta Auditorium and then we saw them at an allday singing at the old now closed Lake Spivey in Jonesboro.I met him there too.I'd really like to find out if he is still alive,if anyone knows anything about him,it will be greatly appreciated.

  • My church does the fast pace songs to attract the young but I miss the gold standard like this song. Keep in mind churches that it is those over 50 that put the most money into the church.

  • These guys were great, such harmony. Smitty's lead voice was unequaled for true quality. I knew them pretty well and had some great times with them, especially Willie.

  • @GospelPhil MMMM lucky feller!..Bet they rattled the walls lol

  • @rmarkrussell Yeah..he does sound a bit like the chief way down there in the underworld where we can't get lol. Man all the greats are dead and gone...with exception of few. I like Mike Holcombe too.

  • @GospelPhil Heh..Yeah you said that right. This stuff today isn't even one step above garbage!

  • They are in some of Bill's videos. The fact is they sold out to the world, and lost their way. Maybe they'll get saved and get back on the straight and narrow.
