Peter Cook joins the Python gang for a live performance to benefit charity. This is the Courtroom Sketch from the Flying Circus, the one with the "Anything Goes" song. Go moo!

  • This was done in 1979 as part of "The Secret Policeman's Ball", a charity event to benefit Amnesty International.

  • @MissHarpoMarx Peter Cook.

  • Great to see this visually--for years I only knew of this sketch from the "Dead Parrot Society" album. However, some key scenes were left out like Graham Chapman's attack of flatus and Michael Palin's "gaiters" scene. In order for these posts to be effective, you have to leave the funniest parts IN.

  • This is definitely NOT 1979.

  • Moo!

  • What's that stuff at the end? I'd like more of that, please. D:

  • Simply wonderful :-)

  • I think it's actually Neil Innes, the "Seventh Python". He wrote their music and toured with them (he was Sir Robin's minstrel in Holy Grail). He also is one of the policemen carrying the coffin.

  • no... it's Peter Cook

  • is the guy playing the murderer Eric idle?

  • cook adlibbed most of his lines
