  • The wax is fine when melted over simmering water. The water as it comes from the tap is fine (unless your pipes are in frozen soil).

    Fragrance and colour is generally added during the melting process.

  • We used paraffin because it resists the water best, and can be coloured for brighter contrasts.

  • What if I wanted to scent the candle? O I do pour the oils when melting the wax?
