Hey Everyone I'm Chelsea Cannell, Thanks for tuning in to Clevver Movies!.

Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightening Thief wasn't a HUGE hit at the box office but it wasn't an epic fail either. Sitting somewhere in the Middle, the story about the average kid who discovers he's the son of Poseidon managed to grab a grand total of $226.5 million dollars after it finished both it's domestic and international run. So Percy Jackson 2 is underway.

The Sequel will have original Helmer Chris Columbis on bord to produce with Twilight's Karen Rosenfelt also returning. The cast which includes Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson are also all set to comeback. The return of Pierce brosnon, Rosario Dawson and Sean Bean are all still up in the air.

No director is attached but the film will reportedly have different writers this time, with Scooby doo and Cheaper by the Dozen's Craig Titley handing over the reigns to Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski of Andy Cody Banks, 1408, Ed Wood, The people VS. Larry Flynt, Man on the moon and so on.

the film doesn't quite have the Green Light yet but the LA times IS reporting it WILL start shooting this Summer. So you guys think this is a good play? Let us know! Hit up the comments and tweet us @ Clevvermovies.

relax people, the movies and books dont need to be similar, they both are great, obviously it will be diffrent because of max movie times, the movies are great, unless you are one of the writers or trued to become one then be quiet

Let's review on how there cannot be a sequel without it being terrible shall we?:

It looked as if Luke died and is what I am going on.

There was no mention of Kronos.

There was a freaking Hydra in the first movie.

THERE WAS NO ARES.

There was no Clarrisse

The was no Mr. D

I can't even list them all. I wanna reboot >.<

Supposed to be: 12 years old. Annabeth is blonde. Where is Clarisse? Mr. D? The pen has a cap, and does not 'click'. Where was the water park? Why was there a Hydra? and, the PLOT?!?! go west, find the lightning bolt, not the stupid pearls. What happened to the arch?

they'd better do a good job on the next one, or I'm going to be upset. very, very upset.

i'm just interested in how they're going to do it.  they missed out so many aspects of the lightning thief that the poor writers have to now try and fit clarisse in and kronos and luke's issues into this movie as well. oh and if they don't put clarisse in this movie for whatever reason i'm going to kill because she's like the main person in the sea of monsters quest. they messed up the lightning thief, they better make up for it in the sea of monsters.

The story is completely fucked up. Nobody even knew that Percy was the son of Poseidon in the book but they did?! There are so many errors I want a reboot!!
