The 'smell of death' in quake-hit China - 15 May 08

The scenes of destruction and devastation are growing worse by the day in earthquake-hit China.

Al Jazeera's Melissa Chan is in Beichuan, one of the areas hardest hit by the quake.

She sent this exclusive report.

China is actually one of the most civilized and advanced countries on planet earth. We don't hear about China attacking foreign countries across the globe. Their focus is on domestic affairs and business and theyre doing a great job considering the population. If we had more countries like China, the world would be much more better off.

And forget India, ..i'm indian and even I think that is one of the worst places on earth because of the politics. Indians deserve better

one day after an after shock in a small village rescuers found a women hovering over something. A baby. the women was dead but the baby was still alive.
