  • are the wheel wells stock or does it have mini tubbs? i'm trying to figure out whats the biggest tire wheel set up i can get under there with out cutting anything. this car looks great. i dont plan to build the motor to much but i want the dragster look.

  • @gtownmach

    Which one? lol

  • @ilovechevy1 id guess displacement restrictions. or so it can handle more boost. ive never heard of it going over 454, but i guess its possible

  • @pepene93 oh..nice LT1 camaro BTW..go to my channel and check out my sec 99 camaro SS..it's procahrged/ camed/ stalled/ full exhaust/ water meth injection/ built 4L60E.ect ect.....it looks different now than in the vids..it's not silver/ pewter any more..got it painted black recently..i made 488 RWHP with a stingy stalled auto with a very conservative daily driven street tune..i now have wider offset ZR1 rims on the rear with 315 MT drag radials..it looks sexy from the rear : ) lol

  • @pepene93 i copied this off of Texas Speeds website...they sell the GMPP LSX 454 and cleary state it can be bored much larger..i copied this for you :)

Our TSP 454 cid LSX short-blocks offer the best durability for the best price possible! The GMPP LSX block comes from the factory with a 3.860" bore, and can be bored to a max of 4.250!"

feel free to go to check

i had to double check cause you even had me 2nd guessing myself cause i know i have seen some that had been worked over to 500+ ci

  • @pepene93 ...if you look at the cylnder walls you will see there is a good bit of material left for boring...they are iron so they dont't need much between the each cylnder to still be strong...and why would they make a 4.8 out of them??...they ONLY come in 2 sizes from GMHP a 6.2l 376 ci LS3 based ..still has the LS3 crank but with forged rods and pistons and an Iron block insted of alluminum...and theres the 7.4l 454 all forged ect ect...and there HAVE been ppl boring them out to larger CI

  • @ilovechevy1 ive seen people make 4.8L out of them. thats under 300cid. and they wont go over 454

  • @pepene93 yeah..you're right it's a iron small block but they come from GM performance parts with 454 CI and can be bored much larger to 500+ CI..bad ass block

  • @statonracing if it was it would be behind it

  • @magnum9987 sorry bud, but you got your facts wrong. the lsx is actually iron block. and im not sure what size it is, but its quite small, then you just bore it out to whatever you want.
