very helpful video, thanks for putting that up. I have a 92 350 4x4 that is very difficult to shift into any gear, but low especially. Grinds a lot and requires just the right position to engage, sometimes pops back into neutral after going forward 10-20 yards any advice that won't involve taking the whole thing off like in your video?

what was it doing that led to you removing it? if you spin mine with belt off i hear a ticking noise . but it runs and shifts fine!

@RICHJMS we removed it because it completly didnt work and it actually locked up because a piece of that gear got caught inside it when it broke

You just gotta love opening something up and are rewarded with chunks.
Have you ever noticed that the easiest part to replace (ie takes all of 30 sec. to replace) not only will stop the machine in question dead in its tracks but also takes the most effort and disassembly to get to?

@435now yeah it always seems to be that way, but its nice when something goes wrong but its a cheap part to replace and not a $200 part
