K2 Magic Line

Slovenian K2 Expedition 1988
Magice Line (8100 m - orange color on photo, red color - last movie shots on mountain). Expedition members: Miso Jamnik (leader), Damjan Mesko (doctor), Stane Belak Srauf, Milan Romih, Slavko Sveticic, Pavle Kozjek, Rado Fabjan, Andrej Stremfelj, Filip Bence Crni, Dani Tic, Matjaz Fistravec(RTV), Majdic (RTV), Alika (Cook).
We were 60 days in BC. We climbed to 8100 in 3 weeks. We had 40 days bad weather(snow).

first who climbed K2 over Magic Line 1986 were my 2 landsmen: Przemysław Piasecki and Wojciech Wróż from Poland and Slovak Peter Bozik. Wróż died during descent. Bozik died 2 years later on Everest. Respect to these great climbers and great men.

Those slovenians have some great climbers amongst tehm!

Big props! Polish were also great in the 80ies (Wielicki, Kurkuzka).

Pero hay casos muy especiales como esta via en el k2, la cara oeste del makalu, la pared sur del aconcagua, y tantas otras, que creo que va mas alla de tenerle respeto (y unos huevos de acero inoxidable :P), ademas es necesario ese toque de locura, carencia total del miedo o como quieras llamarle, para seguir adelante en ciertos momentos en los que la mayoria pegariamos la vuelta o ni siquiera lo intentariamos. saludos
