  • One old story has it that the piano players developed their left hand talents so they could drink a beer/ have a smoke/ with the right hand...lol. The first riff you played is my personal favorite, dad and brothers practiced this a lot.

  • @wisedup that too :) haha, have a nice weekend

  • fab keep it up you please so many/ and Rock and Roll tips

  • 5:30 - 5:50 was very helpful! Thank you so much!

  • Hello. I find I have a hard time doing riffs like this with my left hand and playing a melody of any kind with my right. I just can't get the coordination down. Do you have any tips for getting my coordination and rhythm down. Thanks.

  • The bass line at 7:20. I use a variation that I find is more fluid for me. It's C to upper C to Eb to E to G to A and back to Eb to E. All of these notes are played using a single hit on the key. No double bounces.

A second variation is to end the very last two notes of the line by playing Eb back up to A. When you play this bass line really fast it seems easier to me using that variation. All FWIW to give those studying your lessons optional variations that some may find easier to play.

  • Regarding the slow/fast blues bass line. I noticed way back when that you were using your thumb for both the G & the A. I've always used the index finger (2) for that line. I'm not ready to switch, though I find that the move you make from CG to DA to EbBb to EB on up to F is much harder to do when you use the 2nd and 5th fingers.

The next line where you play it using Eb to E, I use the 4th finger for the Eb & the 3rd finger for the E. FWIW. Anyway, good job Ecco. Nice to help others progress.

  • the one you can't remember, can it be from jerry lee lewis ? :)
