Diet plans ranked: Consumer Reports picks Jenny Craig

Consumer Reports has ranked the nation's most popular diets, naming Jenny Craig the most effective plan.

Jenny Craig combines counseling with pre-prepared meals, which can be delivered straight to dieters' homes.

Second on the list is Slim-Fast. Though it's an easy diet to follow, data shows people quickly tire of drinking all those shakes.

Weight Watchers came in third. Its followers must stick to a rigid points system, and typically see fewer results.

Can Jenny Craig hold onto her title, or will she be usurped by one of those "fad" diets?
