Something inside says that if one of these underground abrasive Noise Rock, Noise Pop, Indie Pop, Shoegaze, Post-Punk Surf Rock, Indie Rock, Neo-Psychedelic, bands were ever to brake into the mainstream, it could have that same type of effect that grunge did in the early-90's. It seems like the only loud aggressive type stuff that's mainstream now is "post-grunge" bands like Nickleback, and others like them. And all the indie bands that HAVE gone mainstream all seem like synth-pop bands.
