"Yourself you touch .. but not too much". I don't know of an earlier song which made reference to masturbation. Not shocking today, but Donovan may have broken new ground here.
There's a better, longer 7 minute version of this song Donovan performed live. It's on his best album, a live album called Donovan in Concert. It's unbelievable. Not like most live albums...so well performed with so much feelings.
