WLS in Mexico?!?!

Help! I need to know if anyone out there has had wls in Mexico. I'm to the point that I need to do something drastic because America's health care system has let me down. I can't get private insurance because it just costs way too much money and I am a serious liability because of my weight and I can't get insurance through my employer, I can't get state health aid either because I make too much money working part time and besides in Oregon it is now a "lottery" system....yeah, our dang state health care is a lottery. So if you have any information about wls in Mexico or any doctors and costs, please let me know. Let's get er' done! Lol

I had my surgery in Las Vegas Nevada with Dr Rutledge..he's a wonderful surgeon and the surgery has been effective with people at your weight. I've also had no complications from my MGB Please look into it for your sake and for that of your beautiful kids,

Oh I hear you loud and clear. I have been checking into the same thing. I don't have the money but everything I have heard about surgery in Mexico have been good things. BUT! I have to get a passport and raise even the amount they charge there.  I think it's like 9k there. Good luck...hey maybe we can go together. We could support each other. I know this video was made a while back. How are you doing with finding the funding?

Girl, you crack me up! : ) I completely understand your fears about Mexico though! I have decided to get my surgery done here in Texas (Gastric Sleeve~VSG), but I did a lot of research regarding surgery in Mexico. Girl I am in the SAME EXACT POSITION! I'm running out of options and keep running into closed doors left and right. I've had Mexico in the back of my mind the last 2 years but have always been wary. What if there are complications? What about aftercare? But I'm going to do my research as well. It's something I'm definitely going to consider.

I went to Ensenada, Mexico for my WLS. My surgery was open gastric bypass. It cost me $7,500. It went amazingly well. I can give you the details if you want. I had a ball. I had no complications, no infections. There are a couple of medical lenders if you need to go that route that they can set you up with. I was over three hundred pounds in January. I am 230 lbs right now. Message me.

I had surgery in Mexico, not wls, but I had a tubal reversal and the hospital was actually the cleanest hospital I have ever seen.. I don't think there is anything wrong with having surgery in MX. There are some very skilled surgeons there...Do your research and seek out others that have had their surgery there. That will put your mind at ease. Good luck to you hun, Becky
