I teach my boys that violence is the last resort whenever possible, and after teaching them the arts of self defense (Which I have been teaching for years) and mental and physical toughness, I give this as advice, If you are bullied, it doesn't matter if you win or lose, to stop the bullying make sure the bully learns that there will be a price to pay for his aggression.

Its sad that your survivalist ideology is so dependent on concocting some alarmist threat or selling doomsday scenarios to people who don't know any better. The US dollar is doing a lot better today as Europeans flock to its relative safety. Unemployment claims are at a 4-year low. Retail sales for Xmas-2011 are record breaking. While not miraculous, the country is definitely making strides in the right direction.
