From the video maker....thanks for all the great comments...these cruel practices are not so common in the West these days, but in other parts of the world a woman can face death if she is found to be pregnant and unmarried. We humans have a long, long way to go before women and children are treated with equality and respect all over the world.

the Government's propaganda worked well on the psyche of the population about marriage & their 'Marriage Licence' in order to claim more 'property' for the State, and again to earn more from the adoption process & the babies considered as a saleable 'product'...

Very strong subject... great lyrics... love the folk music... mandolin is beautiful... there was a program here about what the Spanish do illegitimate children during Franco. They were sold to wealthy familes and the catholic church had a lot to do with it!
