Coffee Grinder - The Harlem Ramblers 2005

The Harlem Ramblers Dixieland Jazzband from Zurich, Switzerland was founded in 1955, and, after various changes, settled down in 1969 to a well knit group. The band members in this video were Guenter Sellenath (Tp), Hazy Frischknecht (Ss), Thedy Schuetz (Tb), Chris Mitchell (Bj), Hans Schlaepfer (B), and Gerry Ceccaroni (Dr).

The film was made on the isle of Mallorca (Spain). For Hazy, it was his last session. He lost his fight against Cancer and left the group 6 weeks later for ever. Hazy was 60 at the time of his death.

The band is still going strong with the hard core of Guenter, Thedy, Chris, and Gerry. The newest members are Hans Schlaepfer on Bass since 2002, and since 2005, Wastl Berger, Clarinet and Saxophone. For more information, please visit the Homepage. www.harlemramblers.ch
