People's Postcode Lottery Winners in Sunderland SR2 0BY

Its the 21st time a SR postcode has won the weekly £25,000 prize in the charity lotterys history, leaving two Bowood Close, SR2 0BY neighbours happily planning luxurious holidays in sunny Thailand.

33-year-old council worker Helen Jewitt was first to be Street Prize presenter Judie McCourt, and is still reeling from her £12,500 win: I just cant believe it, it just hasnt sunk in she cried And its my birthday tomorrow too - what a fantastic surprise! The drinks will be on me!

The win couldnt have come at a better time for Helen and partner Mark, a service engineer - the loved-up pair are due to tie the knot in April. This will definitely help towards the wedding and our dream honeymoon in Thailand, the bride-to-be revealed.

Helen signed up after a friends aunt won, and thought: Ill give that a go - youve got to be in it to win it! Just a few months down the line and her decision has paid off, leaving her neighbours determined to start playing too.

And it seems Thailand is soon to be inundated by Mackems, with neighbour and fellow winner Lesley Stead planning a trip there too: Its somewhere Ive always dreamed of going, revealed the customer account manager, and now I can!"

Lesley came back from work to find a TV crew, photographer and Judie squeezed on her doorstep, where partner Michael was accepting a £12,500 cheque on her behalf.
