Space Roller - James Mellors - Nottingham Bonfire Fair 2008

Filmed at one of its last fairs under the James Mellors ownership at Nottingham Bonfire Fair on November 5th 2008. This ride will be featured on one of our new Amusement Rides DVD Collections featuring footage of it over the 3 years the ride spent in this country. This volume along with Equinox, XXL and Starflyer are planned for release at Leeds Valentines Fair model show on the 14th Feb. All will be priced at £3 or you can buy 2 for £5. Ask either David Wragg or Niall Cockburn for more details. Since this was filmed the ride has been sold on to a European showman. Space Roller was orginally new in 1998 to the Kinzler family of Germany where it traveled along with another Space Roller Topscan (since sold to the USA in 2001) until sold onto Maiers in Switzerland in 2003, spent a season with a French showman in 2005. In 2006 the ride was traveled by the Mellors family from Leeds 2006 until Long Eaton 2008. In that time it attended many of its local major fairs such as Goose Fair, Riverside Festival and Bonfire Night in Nottingham, Derby Bonfire Fair, Ripley Charter Fair, Ilkeston Charter Fair, Loughborough Pleasure Fair, Long Eaton Chestnut Fair, Samford Mid-Lent Fair, Lincoln April Fair, Buxton Wells Dressing Carnival and Boston May Fair. It also travelled to many major fairs across England and Wales such as Swansea, Cardiff Millennium Stadium, Hull Fair, Newcastle Hoppings, Knutsford May Fair and several others

Why's that? I love Top Buzz aswell but generally its less impressive than Space Roller. the flash and Platform are smaller as well as having less lights, but I must admit its still a great machine, and I hope we'll see those 2 great spotlights back it had at Hull in 2006.

I'm looking forward to seeing Top Buzz advance over the next year or so, apparently Alex will be making changes to the platform, as well as the new paybox and a rumoured new sound system :D

@TheVloging Top Buzz is owned by Alex Crow. Mellors sold Space Roller at the end of 2008. I'm not sure where it is now. Over seas more than likley. Shame realy, because its a good ride. They probably got rid of it to make way for the giant wheel or something I don't know.
