Oh man......I didn't see this before the great Nick passed. Obviously, something wasn't right - his voice is huskier, something changing. What guts to get up there and keep singing.....and you know, he/they really pulled it off. As if....he could just keep going, keep singing.....he could "will" the bad stuff away. God bless this genius, this terrific couple, American originals.....we will miss you Nick. Valerie and family - carry on and keep the music alive.

Nick & Val, thank you for providing the most inspiring music that spoke to my teenage heart back in the day. You paved the way for how a couple could care for each other. Your lyrics always spoke of dynamic partnership and there were no duets more beautiful. I grew up to be a songwriter, singer, composer, choir director; and you... you were teachers. Your message is eternal. ASHE!!!!

Awesome example of not only music, but what a true husband/wife love and devotion mean! You can look at them today, as I did 25 years ago and see the love they have for each other radiate! That has not waivered throughout the years!! God Bless the family...

Ashford & Simpson set true examples of great music, songwriting collaborations and long-lasting relationships. My dad still had 3 lps of them to this day. RIP Nick Ashford

Ashford & Simpson are 2/3's of the reason why I love music to this day (the other 1/3 is Natalie Cole). Their love is amazing. It shows in every song they wrote. RIP Nick. My condolences Valerie.
