Dance St. Louis Presents Pilobolus at the Touhill Performing Arts Center January 23 & 24, 2009.
The Los Angeles Times called Pilobolus the ever-inventive, hyper-athletic, surreal dance company that has been entertaining audiences for three decades. The dancers mix mime, dance, acrobatics and showmanship as they hurtle through the air, writhe over the ground, and coil into alien shapes. Newsweek called the troupe as zany as the Marx Brothers, as clever as Houdini. When they performed at the 2002 Winter Olympics, the Salt Lake Tribune marveled at their thrills, spills and eye-popping feats.
