  • You're not really a professor are you?

Anyway -it astonishes me how often I see Mormons squirmingly try to defend their disproved texts by...unbelievably...discrediting the Bible.

    A sure sign of apostasy.

  • Of course not in the formal sense, no. My wife called me this and it stuck with all my friends. It never ceases to astonish me how folks continue to keep their heads in the sand concerning the TRUE and accurate nature of the Bible.

  • Glad to see you back, BYP.

  • I am glad to be back. Much more to come, stay tuned.

  • yay you added some more vids!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) good work professor

  • Yep.... I be back to blabbin.

  • Looking for a "more correct" version of the Bible? Why not use the Joseph Smith Translation?

  • You misunderstand. This video is simply by no means trying to discredit the Bible. Did you even watch what he says?

  • Hmmm!

    1. How do you know I'm not sincere? I'll let the Lord decide that one.

    2. This is a public arena discreditting the roots of my faith, so I have a right to publicly defend it and inform my acquaitance here (BYP).

    3. "there is corpus of scholarly evidence that renders the majority of your own beliefs equally, if not even more, problematic." You can join the atheists and try to ruin the Bible's credibility if you like, but you won't succeed in the end (Matthew 16:18).

    Nice fruit...

  • I think you will find that there is a plethora of evidence that substantiates the Old and New Testaments in History, Archaeology, Linguistics and DNA - all of which Mormonism fails in. Mormons and atheists seem to disagree with this. The situation has become so pathetic, that LDS, now reeling from the evidence, have been left with nothing to do, but try to discredit one of the very roots of Christianity itself - the Bible in a strange and astonishing bid to justify their crumbling claims.

  • The problem with comments is that you just can't hear the person. That leaves us with just our imagination as to what tone the person uses. Because you are discomfited by my comments you have chosen to hear me as "aggressive and derisive". So, try to hear me in a soft, but concerned tone - as though I was concerned for the man's soul (and yours). This isn't about respecting peoples rights and being liked by them - it's about getting them saved. Christians get persecuted for preaching the Gospel.

  • I'm going to have to stand firm. The video is promoting Mormonism - which I believe is apostate (earnestly contend- Jude 3; Gal 1:6-7). This video is trying to discredit the authenticity of the Bible which is key to my faith (men don't come before Scripture- 1 Cor 4:10). We are asked to go into all the world and preach the Gospel (as found in the Bible, not anywhere else- Mk 16:15). Preach the Gospel/earnestly contend- let the Holy Spirit do the rest. That's pretty much how everybody gets saved.

  • And the list goes on. My points are that:

    1. You are not sincere.

    2. If you were, you would take it to another arena, like his personal inbox.

    3. You do not have a leg to stand on. You ironically cite scholarly evidence against Mormonism, while there is a vast corpus of scholarly evidence that renders the majority of your own beliefs equally, if not even more, problematic.

    In short, please leave.

  • History, archaeology, linguistics, and DNA have discredited Mormonism? Guess what? They've also discredited the Bible. Archaeology has irrefutably proven that the Exodus event didn't happen (cf. W.G. Dever "Who were the early Israelites, and where did they come from?"). The flood story is a blatant copy of the epic of gilgamesh (cf. Gilgamesh Tablet XI). It is liguistically certain that Paul did not write many of the letters attributed to him (cf. Ehrman, "Intro to the New Testament).
