Example of how to build report rptItemProfit using query qrpItemProfit. The report is edited from Layout View (which is the default view after it is initially generated). Note that you tally a column by selecting any record value in a column and selecting Sum from the Totals option in the ribbon. You can select non-contiguous cells for formatting by holding the [Control] key and clicking on the cell. The cells you picked are highlighted. The conditional format rule needs to be set for both the Profit column record values and the total. Simply select any record value in the column and then select the total cell for the column. Use the conditional format ribbon icon to set a new rule for both the Profit column record values and its total cell.
