It's another wedding on the East Lancashire Railway but no loving couple in this shot. The Jinty 3F steam engine (47324) top and tailed the train to Rawtenstall, complete with diner set, and then double-headed with Class 40 (D335) on the return journey. Here we see the Jinty backing onto the CFPS 2000 hp diesel-electric locomotive at Rawtenstall. This was probably the first time that D335 had double-headed with a Jinty and probably the last as well. The date is Saturday 23rd August 2008. John Wantling, Rochdale, UK
A very unusual combination, but the Jinty was sparkling clean.

Aah, filming kettles for a change eh? LOL! Besides that, D335 on form as ever. Five stars.
