It is imperative that we do not continue to allow the demagoguery and the voices of hate to win. It should be noted that not all 9/11 victims object to the mosque either though the media focuses less on those victims supporting it. Not building the mosque at the planned site will be a victory for hate on both the American side as well as the Islamic side. It is time for our leaders to preach truth as opposed feeding our most carnal fears for short term political gain.

Some Muslims are terrorists, some Christians are terrorists, some Atheists are terrorists, some Jews are terrorists. The terrorists involved in 9/11 didn't "happen to be" Muslim. Had they not been Muslim, they would not have participated in 9/11. That's not the same thing as saying that just BECAUSE they were Muslim they were terrorists, rather their PARTICULAR Muslim beliefs motivated them to be terrorists.

I just disagree with you with regards to one point: we haven't heard the real story of 9/11 yet. So many details missing, plus not a single evidence against Bin Laden or Alqaeda other than "claims" from Bush.
