Nope, they're STILL ugly. Did they figure out the whole half-width/whole-width cab thing yet?
-
They're not even here yet and they already have flat spots!

Looks like the El

yes, but thats just the Penn Line, Camden Line and Brunswick are usually "one way service" trains in the morning..and trains in the evening, Penn Line service probably does run all day between DC and Baltimore
-
trust me those are test trucks
-
Yes, but the shells are not "deliveries". They were deliverd to the Rotem plant in South Philly, NOT to SEPTA.
When I made my original post, NONE of the cars were delivered yet. First cars were delivered on March (15 I believe) as an official delivery.

@TEMPLE7D, they arent test trucks, they are the actual trucks. Septa went with that kind of truck and brake design

Marc service is run by both Amtrak and CSX. Amtrak runs only the NEC line from DC to Perryville. From DC to Baltimore, I thought the line had good service. No weekend service does suck.

@diburning, actually Septa has recieved a few shells a few months back. They have about 10 cars in South Philly getting assembeled, plus the 3 prototype cars on Septa property which will start testing in April.

Any early verdict from SEPTA officials? They seem to have a lot of modern features..
Diburning, the 1st three prototype cars arrived in philly on February 28th not march 15th.the first car arrived on septa rails on march 3rd.

No.take my word for it. They aren't test trucks. I was an engineer for septa before leaving for Amtrak 2 years ago. I'm still involved in this project.obviously I know what I'm talking about if I have the only videos of these things testing in Korea. Btw test trucks are non powered . How can you have a test truck powered when you need to be testing truck design, powering and braking.
