but still it shows how fast the aspire one is only a second slower than a 3.5 ghz core to duo? thats pretty impressive for a 1.6 ghz single core and 1gb of ram

well left is running vista and right is running xp
vista takes up alot of memory suprising you didnt mention that too much

I dont think its anything to do with a video card, I have 2 xfx 9600GT's plus a video card wouldn't really effect that

well with a core duo at 3.5 theres no way there should be a 2second delay on firefox, and a graphics card will affect windows opening and closing thanks to vistas Windows Aero
anyways sli on two 8600s sounds like a terrible idea invest in a 8800 gtx =)

its sli wit h2 9600GT's not 8600 and its probably because I have alot of add-ons and plugins
