"Kalibasib the Tamaraw" and "Bat Hunters"

Two years ago, Doc Ferdz Recio came face to face with one of the most endangered Philippine mammals -- the Tamaraw. Kalibasib or "Kali" is a male Tamaraw being cared for at a wildlife center in Mindoro. In 2008, Doc Ferdz visited the animal to give it treatment. And now that Doc has heard that the Tamaraw is again in need of a doctor, he did not hesitate to travel the long, rough road to Mindoro to see his old friend. According to its caretakers, Kali has wounds all over his body. But will Kali remember Doc from two years ago? And will he allow our vet to get near enough to treat him? Don't miss Kali and Doc Ferdz' surprising reunion.

Kiko Rustia meets a community in Cebu whose regular meal consists of bats. Knowing the dangers this could pose to their health and safety, they enter dark caverns and climb cave walls to sweep the bats that roost there. Catching and eating bats has long been practiced by the community. But what threat does this custom really pose on people and wildlife?

========
