On the eve of the legendary womens basketball coach Pat Summitts 1,000th career victory, SportSouth celebrates her extraordinary milestone with Spotlight: Pat Summitt. The University of Tennessee womens basketball coach sits down with host Courtney Jones to discuss her style on the court, her definition of success, the intense look she is famous for and how she prepares her student-athletes to play on womens basketballs biggest stage. Interview segments are intertwined with footage of Summitt coaching the Lady Vols during the teams first practice of the 2008-09 season and provide unprecedented insight into how this coaching legend manages her team. From a loyal LSU and LaTech fan: I have nothing but respect for Pat Summitt. Yeah, her teams have given the two teams that I pull for all kinds of hell, but it's hard...no...IMPOSSIBLE for me to be upset at a model of character, determination and hard work. I wish more coaches in ALL sports, both college and pro, were like her. Congratulations Coach Summitt on your 1,000th win!!! Geaux Tigers, Go Lady Techsters...and and Go Rocky Top!!!
