  • And this setup works well with so much weight on?

I have the same telescope that I wanted to turn into GO-TO

but almost everyone with whom I spoke about this matter told me

that it is waste of money cause cg-4 (read eq3-2) can not sustain

    so much equipment

  • Very heavy for CG4, as such XLT 150 is nearing the maximal limit of the CG4 for good stability. And 10 kg...too too much. This is my own experience. Although the drives don't stop totally, we can't talk about accuracy of worm drive and motor drives.

  • @DASJOTUNHEIM666 I think with a CG-4 you can use a EQ3.2 motorisation for sure as it is the same like CG-4 dual motor system.

  • can't wait to be back home to test my CG-4 (with an omni 127) :D

  • what motor drive are you using ? love your setup btw
