Hoop Isolation and Contact Juggling : Jago and Ryan

This is the opening routine from a 30min duet I performed with Full Moon Performers (Jago Parfitt) in England in 2006.

I love Jago's stuff. Heavy on the illusions. You can see him working lots of fixed point isolation in the first minute of the routine. Its so effective to set this gentle magical tone. Watching this reminds me of days touring around in Jago's van loaded with hoops and crystal balls. Good times! The hoops are plastic hula-hoops covered in shiny circus tape (sold to decorate juggling clubs) the hoop isolations were new techniques (at the time) adapted from Michael Moschens work. It is damn near impossible to really sync the contact juggling...
