@spudy17 cheers, that's what we found aswell, not an ideal solution though, so were are on the hunt for a better quality bearing. Looking at some which have the outer race encased in rubber.
cheep pillow blocks will do this as the case deforms as you tighten down the nuts..
to stop this and retain the freeroll of the bearing(and its life) place a flat square(or normal) washer between the bottom and top portions of the block.
this will retain the spacing and shape of the pillow block, also saveing the wear life of the bearing itself.
