I came across 'Big Taters' while looking for info on a tune called 'Sally Ann' (I have Sally Ann being performed on guitar by Dan Crary).
So, it turns out that Sally Ann is derived from Big Taters (maybe the similarity of 'Sandy Land' and 'Sally Ann'?).
The tune is also related to Sail Away Ladies.

some great fiddling, the tune sounds like "Sail away ladies" and "Up jumped the devil" i think they take a lot of the same tunes change them a little bit and then rename them, any way sounds good.

You're right, it does sound like Sail Away Ladies. I know that in the case of Miss McLeod's Reel, it goes by at least 4 names. Miss McLeod's Reel, Miss McLoud's Reel, Did You Ever See The Devil Uncle Joe, and Hop Light Lady {Ladies}. It just depends on what part of the country you happen to get a recording from. Cool stuff. I'm glad you enjoyed Eck Robertson's fiddling and I hope you have a great day, Brian
