Macdonald East Tunnel Portal in BC Canada. I built this with 3dsMax for Trainz, a train simulator built by Auran N3V.
The tunnel is 9 miles long and travels under Mt Macdonald in BC Canada. It was started in 1984 and completed in 1988. It travels diagonally under the Connaught Tunnel which was built in 1916. It was built because the Connaught tunnel was creating a bottle neck in the
East West running of trains. It also is of a lesser grade thus eliminating the need for helpers.
West bound trains use the Macdonald tunnel and East bound use the Connaught tunnel.
@kittycraft Thanks for watching. The siren is to warn anybody standing near the door that it's opening or closing and to stand back. I had fun building this tunnel for the route that Cayden built. I also built the Connaught tunnel that this tunnel runs under on an angle.

Thats neat. I like the alarm for when a train is coming.
