if I was that harddrive I would have passed out

Yeah, that is one reason people think they don't need this level of protection.
They are under the impression that as long as they themselves are careful, they won't get any shit on their OS installation.
This of course is complete bullshit if the OS in question is Windows.
Don't get me wrong, I use Windows on a daily basis myself (Windows 7 build 6801 currently) and am completely satisfied.
However it is no secret that it is quite vulnerable against malware ;)

@kaihv87 That's what my brother is like. He's like "As long as you don't download alot of unnessary things you won't get viruses". well basicly even though i don't have much on my computer after i formated it, the first thing i did was install my wireless adapter then download malwarebytes. there were about 30 infections. most of them were trojans.

This review could have been made better if you increased the RAM to the virtual machine. What made you think using 512mb would be enough? The PC is LOADED with viruses!! I really do think you could have condensed this whole review in 2 or 3 parts had it not been for the excessive waiting around for the machine to load.

The interface is garbage but the product is good. Norton "Internet Security and Antivirus have a neat Interace" and also is a good product. Trend Micro has a nice look to, but fails at quality. Panda is like Windows Xp to me. I used to have Xp but now I have Vista. Interface doesn't look good on Vista.

A reason I won't use VIPRE - intrusive pop-ups when malware is found. I really don't like that. Otherwise I guess it's decent. Same reason I won't even test F-Secure again - has been long ago by now, though I've seen it elsewhere...
Thanks Mr.Izos for your videos on testing anti virus programs!
