Your not alone, My first dressage test (my first show in general), my OTTB started to gallop when I asked him to trot. He also ran out of the ring and we got disqualified.

it's okay! My first dressage show, I rode twice.. The horse I was really nervous about, I got 4th place and the horse I wasn't very nervous about, I got disqualified lol :) Hope you do better next time!!! :)

Haha, I loved this :) My horse did the same thing when I first started showing him...he's such a goober but I love him. Thanks for sharing, it made me giggle out loud.

Oh thats is freaking hysterical! I am training for my first ever show and am getting so nervous looking at all the great standards as shown on you tube. I searched for tests that went wrong and got yours! It is so clear to see that you are a nice rider on a nice horse, but something just went wrong on the day! A Big well done for the wave, it is nice to be able to see the funny side!

LOL... I am doing our first dressage show next month. I can totally empathize with this woops... and I halfway expect my own similar incident!

Laughing is fine. If you can't laugh at yourself it really is time to give up...horses are great levellers aren't they.
