You want poor Barney out of a job? I can't believe you have county inspect. . Can't your state apiarist handle it? We've more bees hivves by far than you all & don't have a county flunky. In the poor guy's defense, I'd say, the reason he sends to Beltsville for the test is that not everyone will be diligent and test their own. Some folks are so dumb they just want to hang on to the expensive hive no matter what. If foulbrood is found, burn baby burn. There's no real cure that I've experienced.

Communist beekeepers of America?

I would laugh but this is no laughing matter... The WASTE is disgusting...

WOW this inspector is an idiot. I wouldnt let him in my yard eather. the inspections may be a good thing if they had qualified people. im glad in NY we don't have that program any more.

WOW! This video is scary as hell. I'm a first year beek and this does not inspire confidence. I knew my gut was right when I registered my hives last year. I could just see someone like this coming to my property (without asking or calling first) and slapping me with some bs citation for something insignificant. Hats off, what an educating video, not just for beekeepers, but for the entire country. These unqualified jerks infest our system top to bottom. I may not register anymore hives.

Our tax money is wasted on guy's like this that is sad

hiya what can i say other than i hope we never get inspectors like that over here. damn thats not good .but great vid thx for the insite
Our tax money is wasted having programs paid for at tax payers expense. Bee keepers need to do their own inspections and corrections. Wonder who's cousin this guy is?

@lrrp25 His mom was the county inspector. When she quit, his brother became the inspector. When his brother quit inspecting 10 years ago, he inherited the inspector job. It's kept in the family - they aren't to the point of giving a cousin a job yet.

Is there a inspector for each county? This guy seems to know less than a first year beek..

@telemarkdude1 Budget cuts have eliminated some county inspectors. I think there are about 50 inspectors in 88 counties in Ohio. The reason he knows less than a first year beek is because he already knows everything - his parents used to have a couple hundred hives when he was a kid so he thinks he is an expert. He doesn't have a computer so he doesn't try to stay up to date on anything.
