You do realize that phone makers have to make the phone and then have it accepted by the carrier, right? They don't just make any phone they want and then just show up and sell it on some carriers network.
Palm obviously wants to have this on networks other than Sprint, but deciding to support GSM is not remotely the gating factor. They didn't choose not to do GSM. Sprint chose them, so the Sprint version of the phone doesn't have GSM.
TO BAD PALM is limiting itself and going with Sprint. They need to wake up and release this on a GSM carrier if they expect to make a impact on the global market.
