A smackdown comparison of four 7" Android tablets: the Amazon Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and the HTC Flyer. Check out our full comparison details at: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=41700

The Fire and Nook are eBook readers with tablet and multimedia features, while the Samsung and HTC are tablets first and foremost. All run Android OS. You'll notice that as the price goes up you get more features, particularly in those marketed as tablets first: HDMI via adapter, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G options. But you might not want or need those features. Watch our video to decide which is best for you.

  • Hi, this is a great video. Can you please let me know if the galaxy tab 7 plus can run netflix. Thanks

  • @pollino068 It certainly can. Netflix is available for devices that's Android 2.2 or newer.

  • My local library has EPUB books. Thus, one could read books for free if one's library system supports EPUB/PDF. The Nook does PDF, yes?

  • @NerdyCanadian Yes, and yes. The Kindles are the only ones that don't currently support ebook, but yo can check out library books. Yes, Nook does PDFs.

  • @MobileTechReview I've been reading it is "difficult" to get the library books on the N. Tablet...have you tried to do it? Also, I heard that the firmware update eliminates the possibility of rooting the device. In your opinion, is the Tablet worth the price?

  • @NerdyCanadian You need to set up your PC with Adobe Digital Editions to download library books which you then can transfer to the Nook Tablet over USB.

  • @JohnDiMartino Best Buy in the US was the exclusive seller of the HTC Flyer WiFi version, and they seem to have run out of stock, probably because of the price cut to $299. They tell us it's still active in their system, but they don't know when they will get more. The $500 versions usually come from overseas and have 3G.

  • You dont make any sense..Amazon is always cheaper....best buy doesn't even sell the flyer! I wasted a day of spare time researching this device because you had it listed at 299.00....it starts at almost 500.00.You should correct your video so others dont waste there time on it.
