FU Manchu -Bay Area Backstage -The Usual- Downtown San Jose

Time For Another moment in Bay Area Backstage and San Jose history.
We kick the wayback machine and land in Millennium tension yes 1999 or 2000. The usual( R.I.P.) on the corner of San Salvador and South First street. The former location of the red district in San Jose.A One time Porn Theatre.I imagine some odd late sixties freaks loved that spot LoL. That location has had many names and is currently abandoned a real eye sore in the heart of downtown.
I remember interviewing Fu Manchu this was their first San Jose Appearance. What do I remember ?it was like if Spicoli had a cooler older brother.Yep Spicoli and his crew stuck at home on the couch, After baking a few.They were nice and I got a Kick out of the OP gear they were sporting. I want to wear OP gear from the 70's and 80's .I look back and say thank god I am behind the camera now. I did have a decent voice but prefer editing.Fu Manchu is Cali Stoner Rock Period. They are the soundtrack in my head when I get my Big ass on a longboard and try to relive some surf madness.It is pretty ugly now but at one time I had some skills.Now Days 6 ft 2 280 means long board.I imagine some kids think I am crazy .It is cool they don't hassle me.Fu Manchu Flashback ...Feel the Surf Wind and enjoy some fuzz tone.
