Thirty Moruya Public School students recently undertook a research and adventure excursion to learn about the plants, animals, Aboriginal cultural practices, local industries and history of the Deua River as part of an education initiative developed by Southern Rivers Catchment Management Authority.
The children travelled throughout the catchment by boat, bus and foot, accompanied by MPS and Aboriginal language teachers, culture and heritage guides and Southern Rivers CMA staff.
In this video local Aboriginal knowledge holder, Patricia Ellis relates stories of the Deua River to Moruya Public School students during the research and adventure excursion.
