TV show from 1985 that was similar to The Twilight Zone, but with a focus on the horror genre. Ultra low budget, the show only lasted 6 episodes. Mark Esposito directed this segment called "The Closet Monster". This is the offline edit; a rough cut without music or sound effects. I have also discovered a copy of the original episode as it aired and will be putting that up soon.

  • Their acting are so natural.............. XD

  • I vaguely remember this show, I think Lifetime showed the series as a film (splicing all six episodes into a 90 minute flick). I do see similarities between this episode and two episodes of "Tales From The Darkside": 'Inside The Closet' and 'Monsters In My Room'. 'Inside The Closet' essentially has the same ending as this episode, while 'Monsters In My Room' takes the disbelieving parent approach that this episode took, only to beat a (presumably) grisley end. Thanks for posting this video!

  • @Soytugitana LOL!

    now replaced by no internet

  • LOL! Hilarious! I fixed my closet monster, I left some cookies with ex-lax in them in the closet in the daytime, never heard from it again.

  • No TV?!

  • That "Home Alone" face at 5:29 is hilarious!

  • I don't know if the segments ever aired independently in the U.S. My only exposure to it was from a bundling of seven segments into movie length (approximately 80 minutes) which aired on Lifetime in 1988. I taped it back then, still have it and will probably be working with someone else to upload it to the internet at some point.

  • ahh I love this.
