currently there are two excellent tenors singing this Opera as it was written. Celso Albelo and Alexey Kudrya. Those are facts.

@greenjumper1960 Lol my friend. Let's say Mr Florez didn't have a high C in his voice, would you then be saying the same silly thing? Because he couldn't sing the 9 high C's in la Fille but could sing all the other notes it would okay for him to sing the opera? Or any of the other operas all of which have at least one high C? It is one opera that he should NOT be singing. Case closed.

@greenjumper1960 Please pick up your score and read it! Bellini composed it with a high F! If you can't manage the role as it was composed don't sing it.

The high F as notting to do with the opera, butt with promoting the tenor voice in that time.

I think there can be no doubt that Florez doesn't want to do the high F falsetto or with an odd intonation and thus has decided to skip it since he can't quite reach it in his normal voice.
