  • Greetings, Esper. I'm happy to have stumbled across your channel. Just finished watching your Isle of Horns and the present series. I've been playing off and on for nigh on 2 decades, most of it being 2nd ed, but recently changing over to 3.5, based on the materials that my most recent group had available to them. We broke off in Aug, due to the lives we all lead, but are starting again in January. Anyway, both of your series have starting my creative juices flowing once more. Thanks! ;0)

  • @JohnPalb It is great to hear that. Inspiration flows like a river, from one body to another. Drink deeply, my friend!

  • Sounded like her husband murdered her to me

  • @TheKyleMcVay reminds her of the man and she attempts to get out. He picks the lock and she's released, full of vengeful fury. That's my interpretation :D

  • @TheKyleMcVay I would say it was a friend of the ghost which raped her, an innocent friend, perhaps a virgin and/or a magic user, out of lust and knocked her up. Once her belly grew large and round, he realized what he'd done. Out of fear, he drew his enchanted dagger and stabbed her. Once again, he realizes what he has done and wants nothing to do with the dagger and desposes of his dagger and the body. The ghost of the girl plans revenge on the thief-like man but is trapped in the chest.Argyle

  • This was my interpretation of the riddle:

First he either sleeps or rapes Brenna, then Brenna becomes unpure because she is not a virgin anymore and not innocent. Then Argile finds that Brenna is pregnant and he doesnt want this so he desperately kills the unborn embryo or maybe even Brenna as well, and then Argyle is depressed or regretful that he did this.

As to if this is guaranteed or something that may come to pass if certain events unfold i don't know. And I'm not sure about the wood.

  • I would guess the pieces form a "+" with 90 degree angled piece placed at the top of the largest perpendicular line forming an "arrow" Reminds me of a compass. The lonf piece runs north-south or (towards a target) and the bisecting line is east-west. Not sure if that makes sense or not. Streetwise to see if there is something related to compasses/ navigation. Maybe it has to do with the "sickened heart man". A name perhaps. Who owns the buillding? Great stuff as always.

  • Brenna should play a tune for the ghost the next night to peacefully put her to rest, and to get Argile a lucky trinket.

  • not to be hating, but i think the adventure with Vai'cairn was more exciting then this one, but this one is pretty great as well

  • What to do next? Obviously this ghost won't leave him alone, at least while he intends to use that attic as his hangout. I think he should relate the story and poem to Brenna, describing the ghost as best as he can. He should emphasize that unless she wants him staying at her place on a more permanent basis, it would be in her best interest to help him, then ask her to help him see if there are any women missing in the city that fit the ghost's description. It's a starting point.
