Nick: *remaining calm on the outside but screaming for help and the power to rewind time in his mind* you heard me... kiss me, Sel.
Sel: *staring at him, breathless* ...but- Nick, you....i....and... But... huh?
Nick: *looks back at her, disappointment spreading all over his face. He looks down, avoiding Sels gaze. He hadnt meant to say it, it had just slipped out and now it had ruined everything*
Frankie: *bursts through the door* Nick, im hungry... can we have breakfast now?
Nick: *stands up slowly* yeah, im coming, buddy *lifts Frankie up and carries him out the door and into the kitchen, escaping as fast as he could from Selena*
Sel: *staring after them, her heart beat echoing in her ears. She lay there for a few more minutes, trying to calm herself down*
*with the boys in the kitchen*
Jake: *sitting at the table, tapping on it waiting for the others to come*
Nick: *walks in carrying Frankie, sets him down next to Jake and walks around to the other side of the table* right, so what do you boys want to eat?
Jake: Dont mind *confused* wheres Selly?
Nick: *looks away* still in bed, i guess.
Jake: *grins* have a nice chat?
Nick: *looks from Frankie to Jake* so what did you guys want for breakfast?
Frankie: You and Selly had a chat?
Jake: *laughs and winks at both boys in turn* not just that, right Nick?
Nick: *voice becomes flat* whatever, dude. Youre both having cereal. Im going to the bathroom. Frankie, serve Jake aswell *walks out the room*
Frankie: *confused* uh... ok?
Jake: *doesnt pick up the vibe and looks at Frankie* whats wrong?
Frankie: Dunno, ask Nick. Hes flipping.
Jake: *confused* flipping???
Frankie: *chuckles* never mind, Ill get your bowl and cereal.
Sel: *walks in, looking around cautiously for a sign of Nick and sighs with relief when there was no sign of him. She sat down with her back to the door and smiled at the boys* Hey, guys. Whats up?
Jake: *looks at her, his eyebrows raised with a slight grin on his face* Selly, remember our talks about boys?
Sel: *smiles amused by him trying to behave maturely* Now Jake, when have i ever taken anything you have said about boys seriously?
Jake: *rolls his eyes* true, but what did you do to Nick?
Sel: *She froze in her seat. Something had happened. He was here two seconds ago. Now hes not, she is and something happened...* uh... what?
Jake: *sighs* Sel, what did you do to Nick?
Frankie: *grabs some cutlery from the drawer and places it on the table, watching Sel carefully*
Sel: *feels their eyes on her and swallows* uh, i dont know what your talking about? *she laughs nervously* uh, why? What did he say?
Jake: *not believing Sel but gets interrupted before he can say anything*
Frankie: *looks down, smiling* nothing, he just stormed out when we mentioned you and your little chat.
Jake: Yeah, how did that go? He wouldnt tell us.
Sel: Do you have to say chat like there was something more to it? It WAS just a chat, guys. Anyway, whats for breakfast?
Frankie: Cereal. Usually its bacon, sausage and hash browns or something but i guess he cant be bothered this morning... *lays everyones things out for them in front of them and sets an empty place for Nick right next to Selena making her uncomfortable*
Sel: *gets up, quickly* uh... i can cook if you want? I mean, i do it all the time at home so Ill do it here. You guys hungry?
Frankie: *Rolls his eyes* sit down, Selly. Its cool. Well survive without having cooked breakfast for one day.
Sel: *Sits back down slowly, knowing that it was now gonna be very, very awkward between her and Nick* uh, so howd you guys sleep?
Frankie: *shrugs* ok, i guess. I wonder whats taking Nick so long... hes taking forever.
Nick: *drags himself through the doors and stares at Sels back when he enters*
Sel: *hears him, shuts her eyes as her heart beats faster and faster but doesnt turn around*
Jake: Nick! Finally. Sit down. Frankie set your place up.
Nick: *looks at his spot next to Sel and walks slowly over. He sits down next to her, their arms brushing each others lightly as he settles* uh, thanks...
