  • Wait, in my Bible, Daniel 9:25 says nothing about 483 years. It says some stuff about WEEKS, not years. Can somebody explain this to me?

  • @Mystagogia87 A "week" is a "seven."

  • This is blasphemy and Judaising. Christ was never a rabbi. Also the forefathers of Talmudic Judaism (the Pharisees) persecuted Christ. It is deception and sophistry to refer to the Ancient Israelite religion as "Judaism" (nobody refered to it as that contemporary to the period). Talmudic Judaism is an apostate sect which had nothing to do with Christianity other than opposition to it.

  • @Counterrevolutionite Saint Peter, our first Pope, called Christ our Lord "Rabbi"

    Mark 9:4

And Peter answering, said to Jesus: Rabbi, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

  • The forensic evidence does not detract but solidifies the historical validity of the New Testament as a factual and eyewitness account of actual events. The discrepancies only add weight to the truth because human testimony tend to conflict in minor details. The philosophy of history accepts a degree of inaccuracy and conflicting reports that does not invalidate the evidence. 100 accounts of how Titanic sank, nevertheless, regardless of the conflicting accounts it still sank. Crime forensics.

  • The two Josephs in the Matthean and Lucan genealogies were 2 different people. One was Joseph the carpenter and the other was Joseph of Arimathea, brother of Mary, mother of Jesus. The Talmud documents the hearsay that the soldier Panther was the father of Jesus. The Gospel verifies that Joseph the carpenter was going to divorce Mary quietly. This is why Joseph of Arimathea legally adopted Jesus later to keep everything kosher. Soap-operatic, but facts tend to be stranger than fiction.

  • There exists a tradition that Joseph of Arimathea is related to Mary. This becomes apparent in the context of the Lucan genealogy: Joseph son of Heli - or Heliakim. According to tradition, St Joachim was the father of Mary. Joachim/Heliakim. In Luke 3:23 "...so it was thought..." gives you a clue. This unlocks the 2 different genealogies of Jesus. There are also clues in the Talmud about Joseph of Arimathea being rich. Mary, mother of Jesus, came from a rich household with Davidic pedigree.

  • If you stitch together the circumstantial evidences and Jewish context during the life of Christ, you quickly realize that the Gospels were brief and condensed simply because it assumes you are a Jew or is familiar with the context of that time. It is like someone today asking someone else to fill in the blank to this: Romeo and ????. If you don't know who I meant when I asked about Romeo then you are just hopelessly ignorant of the context because it should be known automatically by everyone.

  • Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus claimed Jesus body despite the threat of becoming unclean for the Sabbath because they were his immediate family. He was washed by the rain before he was buried. He was buried kosher. Lazarus was the eyewitness of the Gospel of John because he was the son of a member of the Sanhedrin (Simon/Nicodemus - a tribal leader). This is also why Peter gave the conflicting account that Jesus died on a tree - the last time he saw Jesus was at the high priest's house.

  • If you take a forensic criminal analysis of the Gospel accounts in the context of 1st century BC and AD Roman and Jewish history, you realize that none of the apostles actually witnessed the crucifixion. The beloved disciple was THE formerly dead Lazarus (Eleazar). Nicodemus was Simon the Leper, Joseph of Arimathea adopted Jesus sometime during his age of majority to hide his illegitimacy. Mary Magdalen was the wife of Joseph of Arimathea; the same woman who anointed him King of Israel.

  • peter was not the first pope. it is funny some people say that peter was their first religious leader. if you knew anything about peter, you would know he did not want to associate with anyone except jews and he felt despite being told many times about it, that the Word was for everyone. if it had been left up to Peter no one outside of his own tribe would ever have heard the good news. Thank God, Paul broke out of this mindset.......
